Some more Test boards Done a couple of weeks ago. Finally decided to post them here.

So this was the original fun piece that I used in the portfolio. But, I really don't like it that much so I decided to push my self and making something that I feel would look better.

And this is what I've come up with so far. I'm looking to push myself more than I have been and just have more fun! alright yo!

Focus

When I began to do these boards I had all of this pressure on me to try and make these prefect boards that I think the team would like and would be up to their standards plus the pressure of getting them done in a small amount of time. All of this pressure took me away from what I feel that I should really concentrate on. With some time to meditate and prayer I was given the notion I believe from God to focus On clarity  Yes I have a deadline which is tonight and I'm not sure what their fully looking for. But what I do know is that I can believe in myself and my ability of visualizing a scene. And that I'm sure when you look at the boards you can definitely understand what is happening in a millisecond. So that's my Focus. It's CLARITY! I hope that that's whats important to them and I hope they will give me a chance to find out what else they feel is important and what isn't. (If you catch my drift) ... What a cool phrase

Starting to upload personal fun

Hey! So Yeah I'm going to start uploading my personal work here too. This blog was originally designede to just be works for Job submissions, kind of like an extra site for the reviewers to look at with my work. But I think I may open this blog up to the public soon. And I thought it would be good for the portfolio reviewers to see all the type of work that I'm working on and can maybe grasp more of what kind of person I am. 

So yeah! at the top of this page are some quick concepts for some enemy characters for my comic DAVID. Then the Stuff on the bottom are just fun sketches.

Korra and Tenzin scrap page

So these are my quick thumbs for a scene I'm going to board. I took a step back and thought that this maybe too much for just one of the scenes I would like to be apart of my portfolio. But I still want to do it because I think it's going to be cool as well as show more of my skill. So I decided to just lay them all out on 4 panel storyboard pages and it added up to be 21 pages which exceeds what someones advice was for submitting for a job. So If I can make it more concise or can find ways to edit it I will. But on the same time I don't want to limit the focus of the scene. So I will look for balance and just keep the creators and their vision in mind as I go about this scene.

Going for the BEST with my BEST

I realized yesterday that I'm really going for something that lines up to be the best position I could have imagined getting. To be a storyboard artist and use my skill of telling story for such a great project that I believe to be one of the best airing shows we have today, it's just awesome. When I started out with this blog I was creating work to submit for a background design. I felt that I was going for the best. But now I'm going for what I really want and am skilled to do. I believe the fear of failing as well as the fear of being successful got the best of me. But still even going for a position for Background design was already pushing me beyond what my fears told me.

So I'm going all out! As I go for the best I will do my very best and not run with half of my energy, afraid of falling and needing that energy to get me up. If I do my best and use all the energy that I have there will be no regrets and that right there is beyond any energy that I could save up. It pours right back into my Journey and makes me stronger.

Ok, back on to work and just doing my very best!

Yep so just getting started here on this trapped scene. These boards are so fun to do!

Trapped Sketches

These are pre sketches that I will be using for the Trapped scene I have coming up.

So I just quickly did some quick boards of the beginning shots and then just some bg sets and some character play for the boards. What I'm really trying to do is go in the flow when I do comics. I'm just trying to translate it for boards so I can keep the speed up on my process. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

So yep time to get the fire burning. Like my Friend Mike (BlackBear) just told me. This is only the beginning. So this is just a short scene I'm about to finish. I want to add some things and change some things as well but I will let these rest and work on another scene I have in mind.

Ok here we go some more.

New Direction

Ok So the Background design position for Korra has closed sooooooo... I'm now going after what I really want to do at that studio. STORYBOARDING!!!

So by the end of this week I'm going to have some bords for them to see. I'm so excited and pumped. My friends are rooting for me and so is my family.
